I need to know how the 4 wheel drive works on the 93 ford explorer? Is it electrical or is it vacuum? I need a diaphagm!

In 1993, the system had an electric shift on the transfer case and a vacuum operated actuator on the front drive axle. I have no specific picture of the system, sorry.
If the 4wd isn't working, first check to see if you are getting power to the actuator on thansfer case. If you are, chances are the actuator is bad. It was a common problem on that year. If it is working (you can hear it) check for vacuum to the front axle.
