I have a 89 Chevy celebrity that I was driving around. I came home from work and it was running great like it always does. The next morning I had to run to the store and it will not start.I've checked fuses I've checked the plugs n wires to make sure they were getting fire and I have also made sure that the carb was getting fuel. Recently put on a new fuel filter when I did the tune up. For the life of me I'm baffeled. Tries to turn over just won't. Can anyone help? Thank you its the only car I have and 3 kids have to goto school lol

I used to have an 88 v6 celeb. With throttle body fuel injection, engine cranking, can you see an injector spray pattern? If there is a spray pattern, at least you know there is an rpm signal.

Did you visually check for spark at the plugs, engine cranking?

Did you check for applicable trouble codes? Your obd1, you should be able to check codes, yourself. Your data link connector should be along lower edge of dash between steering column and driver door. You use a jumper wire between the A & B terminals at the data link connector. Then, you turn key just till the dash lites come on, no further, then the mil on the dash starts flashing, you count the flashes to get the codes. Your looking for two digit codes.

The aldl is a 12 pin cavity. If the mil lamp on the dash won't work, then you can't check for codes.

The picture shows the location of A & B terminals at datalink connector.
