Do a visual inspection first. Start the engine and listen. If you are lucky, you may hear a hissing noise. If you can't locate any leaks, go to our home page under the DIY section for directions using carb and choke cleaner to check. What happens is you spray it on the intake, vacuum hoses. And see if the RPM's change. If they do, there is a leak in the area you are spraying. NOTE: This can be a fire hazard. If you hit a surface that is hot enough, it can catch fire, so make sure you to have a fire extinguisher near by.
Also, make sure the choke is opening fully when the engine warms up. If I remember correctly, there is a vacuum choke pull off on these. Make sure it is working properly.
