these engine have a problem with the cold idle set up, and they can burn out rotors and distributors, have the leads been disturbed, as they are set up as a leading and trailing firing system, inlet then exhaust plugs, the testing is long and some what complex for the cold start and mixture set up, but often a coolant temp sensor will be at fault, as the ECU may be thinking that it is warm already on cold starts and the air by pass is not open.
