Does not skip a beat once it starts. I have the same problem every morning and if the car sits for any long period of time. I am led to believe that this could be a problem with the fuel pressure regulator and the engine may be starting rich. I was told pressing down on the gas pedal while starting the car commands the computer to start without adding fuel to the engine. This allows the engine to crank and start without the first few milliseconds of fuel injectors kicking in. Enough time for a flooding condition to be cleared.
I do not have a manual to be able to check the part.

Hello,

It sounds like you have a dirty throttle bore. Here is a guide to help you see what to do to fix the problem:

If you have a check engine light on lets run the codes.

Please let us know what happens.

Cheers, Ken
