Intermittent starting issues

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.

When you say it won't start at times, does the starter still engage and turn the engine which fails to start or is the starter not working? If you could let me know, it would be helpful.

There are many things that can cause a crank no start, so I need to know if the starter is the issue or not.

Additionally, if you could tell me if the check engine light stays on when the engine is running it would help and if the engine runs normally other times.
