Cranks will not start

Bought vehicle non runner.. ECU apparently fine. diagnostic guy tried to program key, but can't get security code through immobilizer system. every effort failed. car's fuel system comes on. ranks but wont start. think immobilizer prevents it.

Hi,

First, this vehicle isn't offered in the US, so my technical information is very limited. However, I will try to help.

Since you hear the fuel pump turn on, the first thing I would check is to see if ignition spark is lost to the plugs. Here is a link that explains how that is done. If there is spark, see if the engine will start for a couple seconds using starting fluid.

It could be related to the immobilizer. However, most times that shuts both fuel and spark down and you are hearing the fuel system.
