The engine will crank, but it will not start?

When I’m cranking it, it will sound like it wants to start but it won’t. It has spark, it has injection pulse. It has good compression. It was running fine, but I turned it off and went back. Started after a few hours and it wouldn’t start. The fuel pump is good.

We must be missing something, if it has good spark, fuel and compression it should run. I would try to hold the throttle open slightly while cranking it could be the throttle bore needs to be serviced. Also check the air intake boot to make sure there are no leaks. Next, I would unplug the MAF sensor and try to start the engine if it runs the sensor is bad and not telling the computer the engine is cranking over. Here is the location of the sensor. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
