Hi,

If there are no sounds when the key is placed in the start position, we need to determine where power is lost.

This is a very straight forward system. Power from fuse 9 in the power distribution box is sent to the ignition switch. From that point, it goes to the neutral safety switch and then the starter solenoid.

I attached the wiring schematic below so that you have a reference. Here is what I need you to do first:

See if the engine starts with the transmission in neutral. If there is no change, check fuse 9 in the power distribution box. In addition to checking the fuse, confirm there is power to and from it.

Here is a link you may find helpful:

If the fuse is good, then red wire with a light blue tracer on the transmission range sensor (functions as a neutral safety switch as well). Disconnect the connector and have a helper turn the key to the start position while you check the aforementioned wire for power. If there is power, we need to check for power out of the range sensor via the white wire with a pink tracer. If there is, go to the starter motor and with the key in the start position confirm power to the red wire with the light blue tracer. If there is power, replace the starter. If there is no power, let me know.

Let me know what you find. Also, I attached the fuse to check and the legend for the fuse box. Note: The FL stands for fusible link. This won't be a traditional fuse but does work the same.
