Sometimes when your car runs out of gas you have to prime the fuel system again, because too much air got into the lines. Priming it is simple enough the, just turn the key on for three seconds, and then off. Repeat at least twenty times. Then it should be good to go.

If you have already done this, then it is possible that you did not actually run out of fuel, but instead your pump is not pumping enough. The next thing to do would be to make sure that you are getting power to the pump. Simply turn the key on and listen for it. It might help if someone else turns the key on while you listen. If you hear it engage, then you will need to check that it is delivering enough pressure. If you do not hear it, then maybe a fuse or relay is blown.

So start with checking to see if the pump actually comes on and pumps enough pressure, and let us know. We will go from there.
