The engine will turn over but not start?

The fuel pump isn't cutting on, but you can hook it straight to battery and it works. I've replaced distributor cap and control module because it's not firing with starting fluid either. I also replaced fuel pump relay and still nothing.

We need to check for spark then this video will show you how also how does the engine sounds when it is cranking over? Can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so I can hear the engine cranking? That way I can tell for sure what's going on. You can upload it here with your response.

I just replaced the coil. Also, I don't have any way of checking the codes for this old of a truck. I know the fuel pump isn't kicking on for some reason. I can't hear it come on or anything but if I hook it straight to battery it works. It was running one minute, then I cut it off and came out of store and it wouldn't crank.

Also, it wouldn't start with starting fluid either after putting new coil on.

Check out the guide for getting the codes you can get them by using a paper clip. Please follow the video so you can see if the engine is getting spark.
