So Friday afternoon while driving home my check engine light came on and threw a p1335 EGR valve code. But the truck ran fine. So the next morning I decided to take a short drive to the trash dump and see if it had any issues. While accelerating and kicking on the turbos, a very noticeable screaming sound came from the turbos every time I went into the gas pedal and also a very heavy white smoke would pour out the exhaust. So heavy the cars behind me were blinded. I got it home and it cut itself off when I got down to like 5 mph, which I think it does when it detects an issue. After waiting an hour it cranked back up but the whining for turbos and smoke still persist. The turbos have it's own coolant system/reservoir and the level has gone down but it's not empty. I've always been told heavy smoke means coolant leak, but why is the turbo making that fuss? And the EGR system is something I know nothing about. So I just wanted to get your opinions/knowledge before I take it somewhere.
