My car has been having issues for about two weeks. The blind spot detection goes on and off on its own and with that all the warning lights come on and the engine lights flashes. Car also stalls when all this is happening. I took it to the dealer and they can’t seem to find the problem. I have aftermarket HID's and they are telling me that it could be the headlights that caused the problem. They are changing parts and still nothing. That’s what’s leading them to believe the headlights. We have always had HID's in all our cars and never had this problem. We just need answers and the dealer doesn’t have them.

After market accessories can do some crazy stuff? When I was at Volvo we had an S40 that the remote would not unlock the doors unless you were close to it. I replaced the receiver and same thing. I swapped modules, swapped doors, did software and nothing.

I noticed the interior lights were replaced with LED lights so I removed them and the remote started unlocking the doors from far away. The LED lights were blocking the signal.

So yes, the after market lights could be causing the problem. Return the vehicle back to stock to see if the concern persist because any changes can potentially cause problems. You may have tapped into a wire that is interfering with the Can Bus and it is causing a disruption in the network. Everything in these new cars communicate with one another and it can cause a fault in the communication.

That is the thing, they unplugged the lights and the problem is still occurring. They are saying something is wrong with the traction control.
