All warning lights came on at once. Dealer diagnosed fuel injector(s) problem and recommended replacement. Decided to wait. One week later all the lights went off. Why?

Hello,

Different codes have different levels of priority. If the PCM stored a current code regarding the fuel system, typically it will also cause a domino effect and shut off the traction control, disable the ABS system, etc. However, you should not see something like the TPMS light or SRS light when something like this happens. While it is certainly possible a fuel injector could have caused a cascade of codes, keep in mind every time you drive the vehicle it will go through a series of checks, and some checks don't finish until the vehicle completes 2 or 3 drive cycles (reaching optimal temperature and specific speeds). It's possible that the injector issue is intermittent and at the moment it passed the checks. If you'd like, you can take the vehicle to any parts store and they will scan the CAN system for free, and we can see what codes are stored in the memory.

I hope this helped,
William

I would do a CAN scan but it sounds like the cluster is going out. You can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) which will work on most cars from Amazon.

Here is a video to show you how:
