1-17-18 seat belt, battery lights on intermittently. 1-18-18 had battery and alternator checked at AutoZone, said all okay. Lights still on. In Drive-through later this evening, dashboard light up like Christmas, vehicle shutdown and had to be towed home. Headed to mechanic tomorrow. Battery replaced 9-27-17. Ideas? Alternator? Cost estimate?

Sounds like it could just be loose battery cables. With that being the case, the battery and alternator could pass their tests, but still give you problems like you described. Here is our article on that: https://www.2carpros.com/articles/everything-goes-dead-when-engine-is-cranked

It has a basic how-to on cleaning and tightening the connections.

Hopefully it really is as simple as that. Let us know what happens.

It is the alternator. $681.00 that includes parts and labor. I have to have it. And I take care of my vehicle I travel a lot for work. "She's" earned her 197,000 miles.

This is a great site. Will definitely return if needed. Thanks!

Ugh! That is a little painful, but I definitely understand needing your car for work. I cannot work without mine, so when it goes down I burn the midnight oil fixing it, or go buy another one ASAP. At least you have got it figured out. You are welcome to come back here any time.
