2002 Volvo V70 Front Wheel Drive Automatic 270 Km miles
I just purchased a 2002 Volvo, V70 off from a dealer. After couple of days while driving the car on the highway the oil light come on and the information; No oil pressure, stop safely.
I stopped immediately and checked the oil in the engine. The car had oil and the oil and filter were replaced at the time of the purchase. When I started up the car the oil pressure information was gone.
I drove the car yesterday back and forth to work (approximately 60 kilometers) and the warning light never came on. After some time while driving I noticed when going over bumps on the road the oil information will flick off and on.
I had the oil sensor replaced yesterday and It’s still doing the same thing. I did though notice at times when the light is on the sound on top of the engine will be a bit noisier but nothing severe. If I shut off the car and turn it back on, everything works fine. This doesn’t happen ever time the light comes on.
Today I am planning to take the car to a mechanic to conduct the oil pressure test. I am just hoping that It’s not the worst. Is there any advise you can give me? Does this sound like the engine is gone or could it just be that I have a loose connector somewhere. The car start and drives fine, It doesn’t overheat or looses on RPM’s.
Regards
