2002 Volvo V70 Check engine light

My check engine light has come on. Is there any way to get a failure code so I can determine what needs to be fixed? Can a local shop like autozone hook up a handhled computer code reader and determine what the problem is?

AutoZone can not really diagnose the car for you but they may be able to read of the codes for you. If they do could you post the codes on here and lets see what is going on?
