Hi ponja,
He are the description of the problem.
P1550, P1551, P1633/ECM -510F: VEHICLE SPEED SIGNAL
Fault Conditions
ECM- 510F is stored when an error message is sent to ECM if a fault in vehicle speed signal has been detected in ABS control module.
(DTC ECM- 510F (no signal) is stored if there is no communication between the ABS/brake control module (BCM) and the ECM or if the communication is distorted. An error message is sent to the ECM and DTC ECM- 510F (signal too high/too low) is stored in the engine control module (ECM). DTCs for the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) signal are stored in the ABS/brake control module (BCM).
No substitute value is used. Misfire diagnostics is switched off while ECM- 510F is set.
MIL is illuminated while ECM- 510F is set.
Possible Causes (Signal High Or Signal Low)
Vehicle speed sensor signal from ABS control module is faulty or missing. Defective vehicle speed signal to the ABS /brake control module (BCM). A DTC is stored in the ABS /brake control module (BCM).
Possible Causes (Signal Missing)
"Â Contact resistance in the Controller area network (CAN) terminals
"Â Open circuit in one or both CAN cables
"Â One or both signal cables short-circuited to ground, voltage or each other
"Â Defective ABS /brake control module (BCM)
"Â Defective engine control module (ECM)
Diagnostic Procedure
For wheel speed (vehicle speed) sensor diagnosis, see appropriate ANTI-LOCK, WITHOUT TRACTION CONTROL article in BRAKES.
