Squeaking Brakes

1987 Volvo DL Wagon, 4 Cyl. 225,000 mi. Have replaced front and rear pads and calipers. Have replaced front disks. Mechanic says rear disks do not need replacing. Brakes squeak terribly. Mechanic says grin and bear it.

Someone forgot the shims! These are thin metal plates, that fit on the pads to eliminate that problem!
