After driving thirty minutes vehicle has a vibration from engine

Can only feel at idle in gear.. causes top engine cover to rattle.

It sounds like the engine is misfiring or the engine mounts need to be replaced. Lift the hood and while standing to one side have someone put the car in forward gear with their foot on the brake, then put the transmission in reverse and note the engine movement. If it is excessive the mounts are bad. But if the engine starts to vibrate it could be a misfire. this guide may help us:
