My car is regularly serviced at the same Vauxhall dealer since I purchased it in September 2004. The last service was in August 07 when I had an MOT test. The milage then was 59593 miles & the next service should be @ 70000 miles.

I started suferring severe lost of power last week such as the cruise control disengaging travelling uphill, Engine over revving etc, I requested a diognostics from another garege. Their conclusions are that my clutch is worn out. Most of the millage I did was on main trunk roads & motorways so how can a clutch fail at so low milages especially as I am certain I do not ride the clutch?

Hello, I sorry about the premature clutch failure, It does happen. Do you have a teenage son, tow a trailer, live on a hill. All of these things will contribute to a clutch failure. And sometimes the clutch linning falls off the clutch disc, even though it is not worn out, it just broke. Ask to see the failed part and why it failed. Please get back to me.
