2000 Vauxhall Vectra loss of power

I can be driving along fine after a few miles I loose power and if I stop at traffic lights or a junction the car starts to shake and I have to accelarate hard to get any power to pull off. My engine management light comes on and after a few days it goes off again. I can have this problem every day or if I use the car more than once a day it can happen more frequently. I hope u can help

Have the vehicle plugged into a diagnostic computer to locate the cause of the fault ... suspect bad coils or bad fuel supply ..etc.
