Turn the key and car won't start?

When I turn key to the cars ignition it will either stick and not let me put it into drive or it will make a clicking sound. I have to get out and take a jumper cable and touch starter terminal. It then starts.

Check items in pic then try resetting security system if no manual look online.

Nope, to me it sounds like the battery needs to be replaced, this guide can help you see if the battery is to blame.

If it fails replace the battery.
