Hi,

When you try to use the signals when in gear, do they do anything? For example, do they turn on and not flash? Also, do the hazard lights work when in gear?

Let me know. Also, let me know if this is only happening when the brake is depressed.

Take care,

Joe

Hi Joe, thankyou for responding back. The blinker only works when is in park, once you put it in gear is does nothing; the hazards are the same way. Just replaced battery a couple days before this happened. Hoping didnt loosen anything.
Thank you

Hi,

That is really odd. I don't think the battery replacement caused any issues. However, anything is possible.

Because of the description, it sounds like it could be the fuse box itself. Do me a favor. Have a helper start the vehicle, place it in gear, and turn the signals on while you move fuses around in the fuse box. See if there is anything that causes it to work.

Let me know.

Joe

Just got chance to go try what you suggested, put car in gear and now blinkers work, crazy! So they are working in park and in gear, just not sure for how long.

Hi,

If they are working, it sounds like a poor connection in the box. It can be from corrosion, a loose connection, or the fuse box itself may be failing.

If it happens again, perform the same test, but take your time moving/wiggling one fuse at a time to see if there is a specific one that causes it to work. If you do, turn the vehicle off and remove the fuse. Inspect the connectors on the fuse box to make sure they are in good condition, not corroded, and not pushed in too far for the fuse to make good contact.

Let me know if things change or if I can help in any way.

Take care,

Joe
