We changed the fuel pump and now the truck won't start when it is hot outside, over 85 outside. But when it cools down outside, the truck will start when is below 80 and we can drive the truck to the store.

What I need you to do is check to see if there is ignition spark when the engine won't start. The crankshaft position sensor may be going bad. They are known to fail based on heat when they start going bad. Take a look through these links. The first will explain what the sensor does, the second common symptoms, and the third will explain in general how one is replaced. Also, here are directions for testing spark to the plugs. If there is no spark, the sensor is my first suspect.
