My truck quit on me about a month ago and it was the ECU. I sent it off and had it fixed put it in and it ran good until now; I was trying to hook trailer lights up on the truck and the blinkers stopped working and now the truck will not start. When you try starting the truck it cranks for about two seconds and in the middle of it turning over it's like the power shuts off and it stops turning over. Please help.

Hi,

If it starts cranking and then cuts out, it won't be a fuse. Chances are it is the intelligent power distribution module (IPDM). The starter relay is an integral part of the IPDM and is not serviceable. If you look at pic 1 below, you see the basic outline of how the starter works. Pics 2 and 3 are the wiring schematics. I highlighted the relay in pic 2.

Here is what I suggest. On the starter, there will be a smaller wire. It will be white with a red tracer. When the key is in the start position, it should have 12v. Have a helper turn the key and engage the starter while you check voltage to that wire. If the voltage stops, my first suspect is the IPDM. If power continues and the starter stops, the starter is my first suspect.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,
