Also, it feels like it is bogged down when letting off the gas. I just replaced my turbo blow off valve with a new aftermarket part that allows for 30PSI of boost to fix a weird sound coming from my engine after 2.5k RPMs. I only added it to the left side as the right one had not come in yet. After installing the part, the sound went away but now the truck feels like it bogs down when letting off the gas or coming to a stop. Is this due to the fact that I installed only one new bov? Or could it be a dirty MAF?

Hi,

That's an interesting one. However, since you only replaced one of the blow-off valves, that is my first suspect. If the MAF was causing issues, I feel you would notice acceleration issues, maybe a hesitation on starting to drive, stalling, and so on.

If you want to try it, here is a link that explains how to clean the MAF. It requires the correct cleaner that you can get at any parts store, but it may take care of this new issue.

Here is a link that explains how it's done:

You can give that a try, but I have a feeling it is the BOV that is causing the issue. Also, if the MAF failed, I would suspect a check engine light to be on and a code related to the MAF.

Let me know if cleaning it helps.

Take care,

Joe
