My transmission went out so I replaced it with one from a pull apart and they said they test all their parts. Anyways, after putting the new transmission in I tried to crank the car but all it does is turn over but will not start. The battery light is on so I tried to jump it off but that did not work. What should I look for to try to fix this problem?

Hello,

Is the transmission ranger sensor connected? Please recheck the connector. Here is the starting wiring diagrams so you can see where you are loosing power:

Check out the diagrams (below).

Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

Cheers, Ken

After days of messing with it we finally gave in and took it to a shop. The mechanic looked up the codes, cleared them, installed a crank shaft sensor(?) Which the car blew right away and all the codes came back. After this he decided it was the wiring harness or the computer that needed to be replaced. Upon further inspection it turned out the computer had come slightly unplugged. He pushed it back in and it started right up. I figured something was loose but could not for the life of me figure what it was! Now the transmission is leaking so on to the transmission shop we go.
