Hello LESLIE PAYNE,
That link I sent you should take you right to the online downloadable PDF file. I was able to use on my computer.
You will need to click on the part that says, "Click here to view download link" (see image in green).
This will refresh the page and you will see "Download Link". Please right click on this link (see image in red) and click "Save As".
Just save it to your desktop for now.
Then open and view the PDF. You should have around 1478 pages of information on your vehicle.
I have it on my computer, and it works fine.
Unfortunately, because your vehicle was never sold nor produced in the U.S, getting information is near impossible. Steve took his own time to get this for you. It may not be everything you are looking for, but it is certainly a lot more than we had. I myself am very thankful.
The wiring diagrams start at page 1380. There may be a collapsible menu in your PDF viewer. Mines has one and it gives me a table of contents.
I have also added a screenshot from my side showing my PDF viewer. I am running Windows 11 though so yours may be a little different if you are using MAC or an earlier version of windows.
Take a look at my images and see if there is anything missing. I would prefer to help you get access on your end rather than have to screen shot everything to you, so you have the entire manual whenever you need it.
Please let me know if you are able to download.
I am glad you would like to learn about wiring, and I am here to help you as much as I can.
Also thank you for the information on the 4-wire temp sensor. I really appreciate you sharing that. Something I have never come across.
I think a bad PCM ground is a possibility, but the issue might be more localized to a specific connector.
I think taking a look at power and ground for the PCM is a good idea. Since you are having cooling fan issues and shifting issues, it is possible they are related.
Let me take a look at these diagrams and see if I can find out where the ground is located for it. I also want to look and see if the fans are in the same connector as the transmission at the PCM.
I also need to look at what would have caused the A/C to die on you because whatever happened there has shut off the entire fan circuit it seems, which in turn might be causing the trans issue. However, because it is only affecting one gear it may be something internal to the transmission.
But like I have said before if the engine isn't running properly then the transmission isn't going to work properly.
If the compressor died or there was some kind of issue with pressure in the system, it would cause the PCM to shut down the A/C and since it is connected to the cooling fan circuit shut that down as well. It might be a simple as a bad Pressure Transducer or Ambient Air Temp Sensor or the compressor.
Let me take a look though and see what I can find for you. In the meantime, see what else you can come up with on your end. Since it will be raining a lot for the next week or so, just see what you can do on the computer.
By the way, that's a nice truck! Too bad you didn't still have it. That would be much more interesting plus we wouldn't have to worry about all this wiring, lol. The 30's, 40's and 50's vehicles are some of my favorites. Sure 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's had plenty of nice vehicles but before that, in my opinion the vehicles looked much better. A lot more art and care went into building them. My favorite, well one of them, is the 1941 Willy's Coupe. Such a beautiful car. Maybe someday I will have it. Tri-5 Chevy's are also some of my favorites as well.
But stay dry and safe. Try the download and see if you can get it to work for you. Like I said I am working on my end to see what might have gone wrong.
You may want to take it to that A/C shop and see if the compressor failed, or a seal in the A/C system and see what it has for refrigerant in it, once the rain stops of course.
Thank you,
Brendon
