1994 Toyota Corolla 1.6 lt.3 spd.auto trans. The manual says that I must match mark the torque converter and drive plate before I seperate the trans from the engine so that when it goes back together the dynamic balance will be maintained.Problem is,I am putting in a different trans that has not been match marked. How do I determine the proper line up to insure balance? Thanks!

You don't but I can offer a small suggestion. The square metal pieces on the converter are the balance weights. See if they have left a print on the flexplate.

If so line them up so the match the converter. If not "wing it" it isn't going to make that much difference as you don't have a 10,000 RPM engine! Good Luck
