I have a 1995 toyota corolla sedan 1.6L engine. When ever im drivin at speeds over 5 kmh I hear humming sounds and the car start to vibrate also when ever I accelerate. I was told that the possibilities were engine mount, engine manifold, wheel hub or bearings. But today I brought it to MIDAS and they showed me that all those things were in good condition so now im back to square one. If anyone has any idea what the problem may be or have similar problems that have resolve it or know how to fix it pls email me or reply to my question your reply is really appreciated. Im a single mother with little income and cannot afford to buy a new vehicle so pls help thank you once again.

I noticed it more today the noise only happens when you accelerate or sometimes when idling, and the faster I go the louder it gets. I dont think theyre from the tires at all cause when I let go of the gas when moving noise stops sometimes. It sounds like it could be the engine mount like what I was told but MIDAS told me they had checked it and simply said it wasnt it. Could it be that they had made a mistake on diagnosing the prolemor di they not look hard enough. Is there a way for me to look for myself?
Do I have to have it on a hoist? Pls help. Ohh yeah my tires are in descent shape :|

I'll spend as much time as needed, it might take a while working over the net. I will go as far as your willing.

There are different charactoristics that are part of vibrations, noise etc. We need to do some conversing and checking to find the source.

Are you feeling the vibration? If so where do you feel it? OR are you just hearing it?

Based on what you have wrote so far, I agree that tires are out. Don't worry about the MIDAS touch, some techs are dogmatic about finding a customer's problem, some are not. And then there is the case of the tech knows the problem, but it isn't a job he wants to do, therby fluffing it off.

The first thing I want to work towards is an exhaust leak at the exhaust manifold. If you have it in park and rev the engine, is the noise there?
IF not, Hold your brake pedal down, put it in drive and rev the engine, just goose the pedal and see if the problem exists then.
