Hi there,
You really need to have some electronic testing equipment and a understanding of whats going on in the motor, you can't just start pulling leads to see if A cylinder is firing, you are looking at 40-60,000 Volts now that can hurt. I would start by checking for any vacuum leaks around the engine inlet manifold, it might be a simple thing like that, otherwise you best get a mechanic to pass an eye over it and report back their findings.
