I was recently rear-ended which resulted in $5,000 worth of damage to my vehicle. Less than a month later, the fuel pump went out. Due to the location of the fuel pump and the severity of the damage, I feel that the two are related. Is this possible? Thank you.

It's possible but pretty hard to prove one way or the other if it was the accident or just a fluke that it failed shortly after being rear ended if you were trying to get your insurance company to pay for it.

Thank you Louie! I just found a Toyota TSB on fuel pumps for 2005-2007 Corollas. Apparently, they are not very reliable in those model years. So much for buying a dependable Toyota.
