Hello,
My car a Toyota Corolla drains power from somewhere in the electrical system.I 'v checked the battery, and from that side everything seems to be okay. but during the night, when the car is off and temperature outside are low(on the freezing) the lights of the car get turn on themselves, draining the battery. Also sometimes, when i want to shut off the engine the dashboard panel it doesn't. so the car is off but the ,lights are still on, even though i turned them off.And this happens mostly when is below 30 degree outside.the only way that i can turn off the lights is to turn on the left signal.
Also, even when the car is off, if I touch the signal stick it makes something that seem as electrical shock.
i v checked with mechanics but nobody seems to know why is this happens.
thanks in advance...

I have the same problem, just recently found a fix. Turn your high beams on before you shut off the car. I think there might be a short in the steering column for the lights that makes them come on in the middle of the night and run your battery down. This is what has been happening to me, when I leave the high beams on, they do not come on!
