I have a 2000 toyota corolla automatic and about
85,000 miles. The brake light came on in the dash board? What does that mean?

Hello !

Start checking the Brake Fluid level.

Also check the brake pads, usually when the fluid get low its because you have a "leak" on your system or your brake pads are "low" (most of the fluid its on the calipers because they have to travel further to get in contact with the rotors)

let us Know how on your findings.

Good Luck!

If the previous post did not help. It could be the switch on the parking brake has gone bad. This will cause the dash light to stay on even if you don't use the brake.
