Use car repair manual link in this thread or get a Haynes manual.
This will give you basic maint. Informatiom, plus system fixes, cooling, fuel, brakes, emmissions etc.
Get a good set of tools, like a Craftsman 200-300 piece set. You will need a floor jack and jack stands, drain pans, and gloves.
Best start is to read owners manual for any scheduled maint.
Keep work area clean, follow maint. Schedule in manual to the letter and inspect car every month (CV boots, any leaks, brakes etc).
Read instructions in manual prior to performing task, if you do not understand the procedure, have it performed by ASE mechanic.
But you should be able to perform the majority of the work yourself.
