First check fuel pressure with mechanical gauge, should be above 40psi and hold that reading when fuel pump is off, if it drops rapidly, the fuel pressure regulator, or an injector leak.
If pressure is OK, then check spark, spark should be a blue snapping spark, anything else is considered no spark, so replace wires, cap, rotor, plugs. If problem persists, then coil or ignition module.
If ignition module, then it is actually cheaper to buy a remanufactured dist. With module than the module alone.
