how do i remove and replace brake switch light for 92 corolla

The brake light switch is located in the driver's compartment behind the brake pedal.

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Remove the instrument lower finish panel and the air duct if required to gain access to the stoplight switch.
Disconnect the stoplight switch wiring
Remove the switch mounting nut, then slide the switch from the mounting bracket on the pedal.


To install:

Install the switch into the mounting bracket and adjust.
Attach the switch wiring and connect the negative battery cable.
Depress the brake pedal and verify that the brake lights illuminate.
Install the air duct and the lower finish panel, if removed.
