1990 Toyota Corolla Four Wheel Drive

my brake light and battery light flicked on last night real quick but then went away. I drove it for a few hours this morning and no lights came on but now both battery and brake lights are on and not turning off while i'm driving

Check the alternator-you can ground the field terminal behind the alternator and see if the lights will shut off-if so replace the regulator.

Good advice by RAZ.

You can also take it to any autoparts store and get charging system tested.

If this is original alt. (Nippondenso) they will last a long time but tend to go bad quickly, I have seen original Denso alternators last over 15 years.
