Now it makes sense! I saw where Buzz didnt like the ideas but I thought he only made that one post which I ignored. Yes I hesitated as you can probably tell I was a dealership virgin and they were almost insistant that I needed a new engine so it had me a little nervous. As soon as I get the car back (warranty issue with conv. Top) I am going to take your advise. Thanks again to you, service writer and fisherman for all your help and like I said before once I do this I will be back to donate. I want to give back some of the money you guys saved me!

Call the Toyota headquarters they have information that Toyota will cover this. I have a similar issue that they said that is covered. Google toyota oil gel settlement and they have information there as well.

I checked the color of my engine oil in my 2009 Toyota Camry and noticed it is honey colored. I wanted to inquire if this the color of healthy oil and whether or it indicated engine oil sludge was developing. Thanks and I appreciate your help.
