Hello,
I am having a problem with the car not starting, no spark. It started stalling while driving, now won't start at all. I checked the EFI relay and fuses, ignition fuses, alternator, ignition module, pickup coil, and checked dist. Air gap. Replaced plugs, wires, dist. Cap and ignition coil. There is power to the coil. I don't know how to check the IGT signal from the ECM, I don't know where the COR(circuit opening relay) is to test. I have heard that the MAP sensor may be the problem, or the crank sensor. I haven't checked the fuel pressure, but smell gas, (the problem is no spark). Not sure where to turn at this point.

If you have a tach on your dash, it should go up to about 200 300 when you are cranking the engine over.

If it does or doesn't will give us a good idea which way to start attacking it.

Hey Buddy, Thanks for the reply.
The car has started now after going through the spark check-list testing and buttoning it all up. No testing failures were found. The failure appears to be intermittent, the last time it stranded me, so I'm leery of taking it on a test drive.

I'm sorry to hear that.
Intermittent electrical problems are the worse to diagnose.

Keep a cell phone handy, and get a AAA-plus membership.
The $80 you spend per year can easily cover your first tow bill. And you get discounts on things that you've never even heard of.
