1994 Toyota Camry

This started about 3 years ago and I have been too cheap to take the care somewhere. The car started to not shift out of first gear unless I released the gas. Now I have to do that for every gear. I'm pretty sure this is a electrical problem because it has been going on so long and the transmission has not went out. What do you think?

You need to get the transmission tested you a qualified transmission repairer, this could be a pressure related issue, you should never let these problem go unattended as you may end up with a bigger repair bill in the long term.
