Suggested Repair

Bleed the brake system to remove air, which can cause excessive pedal travel even with full fluid and new pads and shoes.

Conversation Summary

The owner of a 2000 Tacoma Prerunner reported that the brake pedal travels nearly to the floor before the truck stops, despite new pads and shoes and a full fluid level. No warning lights were present. The expert recommended bleeding the brake system, explaining that air in the lines can cause excessive pedal travel.
