1997 Toyota 4Runner Four Wheel Drive Automatic

Hello,

Am experiencing issues starting the 4Runner. Earlier this morning everything worked great but tonight went to start the truck and only hear a click but the engine does not turn over. The battery has been tested and discovered to be good. Not too sure if the problem is in the starter or something else? Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi jeffdan,

High possibility is the starter, give it some knocks by tapping with mallet and if it works, it is on its way out.

Check battery terminal connections and ground cables.
