Engine Performance problem
1987 Toyota 4Runner 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual

When I go to start my truck it takes a few minutes for it to crank. The engine turns over fine. I checked the plugs and there firing, I just put a new fuel pump in and filter, plugs and plug wires, someone suggested that it might be the coolant temperature sensor, so I replaced that too and it would crank up fine for about a week. Now It's doing the same thing, I checked the codes and the only thing that comes up is a code 11 which means,

" switch signal -neutral start which on 22re or idl point in throttle position sensor is off during diagnostic check " .

I would like to know is would that code make it not run? It starts fine and when it does crank it runs good , It just has a hard time starting

The one thing I would check first would be the coolant temp. Sensor. Sense you just put it on It probably works good, but check the connections.
