The bulb works fine (tested by putting in the other light housing). The light functions when the brakes are used, turn signal is activated and hazards are on. I changed the wiring harness to no avail. I can't figure out which fuse (or fuse box) controls the light to check it but besides that I'm not sure what else to try.

Hi,

There is a fuse for the left-side parking lights. If the front left parking lights work, the fuse should be fine because it powers the left front and rear.

I attached a pic below, so you have a reference. Fuse 4 in the battery junction box powers the park lamp relay, brake lights, and so on. So, that can't be faulty otherwise the other lights wouldn't be working.

Power from fuse 4 goes to the trailer/parking lamp relay. I checked for a power supply from a different source than one labeled trailer, but this is the only one I see powering the rear tail lamps. The relay can't be faulty because it would cause the right side to fail too, so my first suspect is either the fuse or a broken wire.

The fuse you are looking for is the parking lamp left fuse (15 amp) in the under-hood power distribution box. See pics 2 and 3. When you check this fuse, make sure there is power to and from it. Note: it will only have power when the lights are on.

Let me know what you find.

Take care,

joe

You are very welcome. If you have a chance, let me know what you find. I'm interested in knowing if that is the issue.

Take care,

I got a fuse tester to check out the fuses and will attempt to test them this afternoon.
