2004 Chevy Silverado driver side tail light won't work

Look real closely where the bulb plugs in. The circuit boards fail on these alot. Look for loose connection or signs of melting.

Did you look into the socket where the bulb goes for signs of melting? Try wiggling bulb in socket with the tail lights on and see if it lights at all.
