How do I know if I have a mono beam or twin beam suspension? I have the truck listed above crew cab SD with 6.0L diesel.

You have the Twin-I beam system as it is a two wheel drive. Monobeam is the solid front axle in the 4X4's. Use 2CarPros anytime, we are here to help. Please tell a friend.

I have a 1989 Chevrolet k3500 4x4 7.4L Silverado. Do I have a Monobeam front suspension? I believe it's the SS version of that year.

No, your front suspension is not Monobeam but called torsion bar style suspension. I've attached a picture below. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
