2001 F-350 locking hub tries to engage while driving.

I have a 2001 F350 super crew 4 wheel drive. I use
the 4 wheel drive occassionally to move trailers on
wet locations.I always back up after disengaging the
4 wheel drive. It now sounds like the left front hub is
trying to lock in while I am driving. Is this a common
problem and is there a simple fix. Any help would be
appreciated.

Yes pull them apart and clean real good, use thin coat white lythem grease when finished. Check for broken or weak springs, weak springs will not let the Hub disenguage right.A broken one will not let it work one way or the other may have broke when trying to disenguage.(NOS) 8)
