Oohps, I accidentaly pulled the torque converter out a little bit while removing the engine of my 1990 subaru legacy 2.2 litre awd. Now all the nessesary splines wont seem to line up properly and the torque converter still needs to go into the transmission bell housing another 3/4 of an inch. is there a trick to this? The long splined shaft that goes through the tranny is also out but is firmly seated into the torque converter. I am sure that it is not the transmission fluid pump cylinder, but rather the internal splines that are holding things up. Ive tryed turning wheels while pushing on torque converter but this doesn't seem to help. If anyone out there has delt with this situation and has a bit of advice it would be much appreciated. Thanks
